Tapsee is portrayed in this short film as a self-defense instructor who teaches women how to defend themselves from the malicious gaze.

She is quite protective of her little brother, whom she loves very much and they share a very beautiful bond. However, the plot abruptly changes after a night, which is hard to swallow and the brother-sister relationship is over! What could be the main cause of this change? Tapsee is torn between her morals and her family.

Juice

Juice, an absolute masterpiece by Neeraj Ghaywan, gives a very closer look at the mayhem, heat, and misogyny that characterizes the typical dinner party in most homes. Manju Singh played by Shefali Shah welcomes a gathering on a warm night. Manju is in the kitchen with the other women, captivated by the heat of the stove.

The demands for supper, and the ever-so-opinionated women, while her husband sits among a group of men who are busy with their snacks, drinks, and laughs, with the continuation of the film a mother pulls her daughter from playing video games to serve the dinner while the other young boys were permitted to continue playing.

This serves as a reminder of how gender roles are ultimately passed down through families. Throughout the film, the message of suppressed emotion a woman goes through has been brilliantly portrayed. The ending scene is like a breakthrough, it does total justice to this must-watch short film.

Kheer

In the short video Kheer, a child, and her grandfather discuss how they view relationships and love. Anupam Kher, who plays the irate male most effectively, fights with a woman in the film’s opening scene. The intensity of their argument makes it appear as though they are married.

The story then adds two more characters, Kher’s grandchildren, a boy, and a girl. She is in fact not his wife, and this two-character surprise is cleverly introduced to prove it. The way in which the short film skirts the ideas of age and companionship gets its bonus marks. It also makes an effort to normalize the notion that becoming older and wanting to be with someone is also okay and shall be accepted positively. It also in a way inculcates the idea and approach of different generations towards a common idea.

Tisca Chopra’s self-produced short film Chutney, where she does an outstanding job in acting also will leave you in shock till the end. Anita, played by Tisca Chopra, is portrayed in the film as a homemaker. Her cunning husband, Viri, is seen dating Rasika, his next-door neighbor. After learning the truth, Anita welcomes her over and gives her some “pakodas” and “chutney.”

While giving her the recipe, Anita skillfully provides a glimpse into Viri’s unscrupulous and unethical family. After revealing to her the death of their housekeeper Bhola, Anita effectively shocks her.

The short film Devi starring Kajol, Sruti Hassan, Neena Kulkarni, and many others has metamorphically put forward the true reflection of society. A group of ladies from various social classes who live in a house is central to the story.

When the doorbell rings, indicating that there’s another woman who wants to live in the little house, the women begin to argue. As the residents’ tensions rise, the narrative develops. They then decide whether or not to open the door. The story further unfolds a very brutal truth that will give you goosebumps and will make you emotional.
